About this Ferrari 512 BB
The 512 BB is the rawest road going expression of Ferrari's flat twelve era. It followed the 365 GT4 BB in 1976 with the engine enlarged to 4.9 litres, and it kept the carburettor induction and twin distributors that give these cars their distinctive throttle response and induction noise. The body is a development of the earlier berlinetta boxer shape, low and wide with the flat twelve sitting amidships, and the driving experience is unapologetically analogue: heavy controls, a demanding clutch, and a soundtrack that builds hard toward the top of the rev range. Production was limited and survival rates are lower than the later injected cars, which is why the 512 BB sits at the centre of collector interest in the flat twelve bloodline.
This example is a 1977 car finished in Red, with 48,000 km showing and the 4,900 cc engine paired to a five-speed manual. It is left-hand drive, as all Ferrari road cars of this period were, and it is offered from Japan with the Japanese market documentation that comes with it.

Why this car is worth considering
The appeal here is the specification rather than a sales pitch. 512 BB values have moved structurally because the model sits at a genuinely significant point in Ferrari's history, and cars that keep their original engine, gearbox and body configuration are the ones that hold up. This car offers five speed manual transmission, red paint, a documented 48000 km, and the factory equipment set out above. Buyers comparing it against others on the market should weigh the specification, the documentation and the honesty of the history file, all of which are available to inspect before commitment.
