About this Ferrari Dino 206 GT
The Dino 206 GT is where Ferrari's mid engined V8 story begins, and it is one of the rarest cars the marque ever built. Introduced in 1967 and sold under the Dino name rather than as a Ferrari, it used a 2.0 litre quad cam V6 in aluminium, wrapped in a Pininfarina body that was itself aluminium rather than steel. Only around 150 were made before the engine grew to 2.4 litres and the car became the 246 GT. The 206 GT is therefore the purest and lightest of the Dino line, and aluminium bodied cars are exceptionally scarce. For a collector who wants the origin point of the mid engined road car lineage, there is nothing else quite like it.
This example is a 1967 car finished in Yellow, with 17,000 km showing and the 2,000 cc engine paired to a Five speed manual. It is left hand drive, as all Ferrari road cars of this period were, and it is offered from Japan with the Japanese market documentation that comes with it.

Why this car is worth considering
The appeal here is the specification rather than a sales pitch. Dino 206 GT values have moved structurally because the model sits at a genuinely significant point in Ferrari's history, and cars that keep their original engine, gearbox and body configuration are the ones that hold up. This car offers five speed manual transmission, yellow paint, a documented 17000 km, and the factory equipment set out above. Buyers comparing it against others on the market should weigh the specification, the documentation and the honesty of the history file, all of which are available to inspect before commitment.

Anything shown above that matters to you can be verified before you commit, and anything that is not recorded here can be asked for.
